But the dissemination of lies on social media platforms is a growing problem, with highly organised groups looking to hoodwink us through the use of social media bots spreading fake news.

This lesson will examine how much trust students should put in social media as a news source, what they can do to look critically at the credibility of any news stories and by creating their own news posts, learn how best to share news on social media platforms.
